About me
I've been involved in News Products my whole career. My first experiences were in building dealing room news delivery networks for foreign banks in Tokyo. I later moved to Princeton, NJ as the lead product manager on the first version of Factiva.com, a leading professional news database. When blogs came along, I moved to Six Apart and established their premium products that taught the Fortune 500 how to blog. During this time, I helped promote TypePad and created a "moblog" for an MSNBC team that was desperate to get news out of New Orleans after Katrina and used our product to share some of the first photos and news out of the region.
Fast-forward past stints at Yahoo, (where I lived out my Web 2.0 dreams) and Nokia (where I worked on a "location-aware" social contacts app), Gigaom (where we built a subscription funnel), and SmartNews (where we used Machine Learning to surface the "hidden gems" in the news) to today where I am currently working at SimpleFeed - helping publishers syndicate their stories to all the popular platforms such as Apple News, MSN, SmartNews and more.
I work with online news publisher and aggregators helping them move stories from point A to point B..
